Back to School in Oyo State: 3,000 Notebooks for Pupils

October 12, 2026

As schools resumed for the 2026/2027 academic session, the Ibrahim Impact Foundation team travelled to public primary schools in Ido Local Government Area, Ibadan, to put premium notebooks in the hands of pupils from families under financial pressure.

The distribution was carried out with the approval of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYO-SUBEB), which authorised the Foundation to work with Community Primary School, Oluode; Community Primary School, Ojinmi Ayinde; and Ibadan District Council Basic School, Araro, in liaison with the Ido Local Government Universal Basic Education Authority.

Our volunteers handed notebooks directly to pupils, in the schoolyard and inside the classrooms, so that children could start the new term with the basic tools to learn.

We believe that learning materials matter for keeping children in school, engaged in class, and confident from the very first week. Back to School is part of our wider commitment to quality education, alongside scholarships for secondary school students.

Thank you to OYO-SUBEB, the school heads and teachers, and every volunteer who made the day possible.
