A Note from Our Founder

“We did not wait until we were big enough. We started where we were, with what we had.”
A

Abraham Ibrahim Jr.

Founder & Chairman

When we registered the Ibrahim Impact Foundation in 2024, we knew the road ahead was long. Nigeria alone has tens of millions of people locked out of quality education, adequate healthcare, and economic opportunity. Africa's potential and its challenges are immense. And yet, the most important step is always the first one.

In our inaugural year, we reached over 1,000 lives across 12 states. That may sound modest against a goal of one million. But behind every one of those 1,000 lives is a student who can now afford school fees, a mother who received prenatal care, a young man who learned a skill that earns him a living. That is not modest. That is the foundation of something lasting.

We are rooted in Nigeria, in the communities we serve, in the voices of those who trusted us with their stories. And we are connected to the world through our registration in the United States, our diaspora volunteers, and the partners we are building relationships with.

This report is our commitment to transparency. We are a young organisation. We are learning. We are growing. And we believe the people who support us deserve to see exactly where their trust and resources go.

Thank you for being part of this from the beginning.

Stories of Change

Told in their own words

Behind every statistic is a person. Here are two of the 1,000+ stories from 2025.

Before the scholarship, I had to choose between school fees and food. Now I am in my second year studying nursing. I want to give back to my community the way this foundation gave to me.

The business training gave me more than skills. It gave me confidence. I started a tailoring cooperative with three other women from the program. We now employ two apprentices.
